The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Ashley Flamino as the next assistant principal of Rindge Memorial School and Jaffrey Grade School.

Flamino currently holds the position of Title I Teacher at Jaffrey Grade School and has worked for the district for 14 years as both a classroom teacher and a Title I teacher. She has experience with all elementary grade levels throughout the district, including spending some time working at Rindge Memorial School.

“I am excited to see education through a new lens,” said Flamino. “One great joy that I have had thus far is talking and collaborating with colleagues. We have so much talent at the elementary schools, and I am eager to support my colleagues, as well as our learners and their families along their elementary school journey.”

Flamino was a member of the district’s first Leadership Academy, a partnership between the JRCSD and Keene State College that was designed to develop educational leadership throughout the district. She has been involved with a number of initiatives and committees, including the curriculum, instruction, and assessment (CIA) committee, Multi-Tiered System of Support for Behavioral Health and Wellness (MTSS-B) committee, and is a professional learning community (PLC) lead.

“The vast amount of creativity that I see in our learners, educators, and administrators is impressive,” said Flamino. “Everyone brings their own strengths and talents to our schools in a unique and valuable way. I am honored to work alongside colleagues who I genuinely care for.”

Flamino has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-8, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and will receive her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in August. It is her belief that “education is a shared experience” and that she has learned a great deal about herself “through the eyes and mind of children.”

“Ashley is a passionate, skilled educator who has an exciting vision for our two elementary schools,” said JRCSD Superintendent Reuben Duncan. “Her collaborative nature makes her the perfect fit for the shared assistant principal position. I look forward to seeing her grow in this new role.”

Flamino will take over as assistant principal on July 1. She is taking over for Nicola Fraley, who will become the new principal at Rindge Memorial School on the same date.
